Your skin is the largest organ of your body, and it is estimated that every day the average woman puts over 515 chemicals on it. I think that’s an understatement. The European Union has banned of 1300 chemicals from cosmetics, while the United States has only banned 11. This means that there are 1289 chemicals in the majority of our personal care products that have been deemed unsafe for all of the inhabitants of Europe. There are virtually no regulations on cosmetics, nor does every single ingredient need to be identified. The word “fragrance” on an ingredients list should send you running. It can mean ANYTHING…there’s no way to tell what that implies.
